Korean striker's career turning point

According to Givemesport , striker Hwang Hee-chan is considering leaving Wolves to seek more playing opportunities, as the 2026 World Cup approaches.

After an explosive 2023/24 season with 12 goals in the Premier League, Hwang's form has clearly declined in the 2024/25 season due to injury, scoring only 2 goals in 21 matches, including only 5 starts. The appearance of Jorgen Strand Larsen has forced the Korean striker to sit on the bench more often. In the opening match of the 2025/26 season against Man City last weekend, Hwang was only put on the field for the last 9 minutes.

The desire to play regularly in the Premier League has led Hwang to consider a move. He has no intention of leaving England despite interest from lower-league clubs and Ligue 1. This is an opportunity for Crystal Palace to enter the game.

Oliver Glasner's side are short on options up front with Eddie Nketiah injured and Jean-Philippe Mateta as their only centre-forward.
