Emotions exploded in the second quarter-final match of "English Window" season 2

The second quarter-final match of the program “English Window” season 2 brought a fierce competition between two teams: Ha Tinh University Primary, Secondary and High School (Thanh Sen ward) with 3 members: Phan Thai Thao My, Le Nguyen Minh Nhat and Nguyen Nhat Dang; competing with the team of Bac Hong Secondary School (Bac Hong Linh ward) including students: Nguyen Ngoc Tue, Nguyen Ngoc Tung and Nguyen Dinh Nhan.

Right from the first round – “Quick Eyes”, the Ha Tinh University team quickly took the lead when answering 8/10 questions correctly, scoring 40 points. Meanwhile, the Bac Hong Secondary School team only won 5 points with one correct answer. Despite the difference in scores, the competitive spirit of both teams was still very enthusiastic and determined.

In the second round - "Quick Mind" (Confidence), the teams entered the English presentation challenge with the topic: "Improving life in the digital age - Understanding, safety, mastery". Representative of Ha Tinh University team - Nguyen Nhat Dang had a convincing presentation about the balance between technology and real life.

Dang emphasized that overusing electronic devices will lead to negative consequences, typically “Nomophobia” syndrome – the fear of not having a phone nearby. With a confident, clear and inspiring presentation style, the team scored 30 points, bringing the total score to 70.

The Bac Hong Secondary School team continued the competition with a profound presentation on the dark side of social media. Nguyen Ngoc Tue posed a thoughtful opening question: “Are you controlling social media or is it controlling you?”.

Tue emphasized that although social networks bring many benefits, users need to be alert and have limits when using them. The presentation was highly appreciated for its message and presentation skills, earning 29 points, bringing the team's total score to 34.

The final round – “Quick Hands” continued to be an exciting chase for points. The Ha Tinh University team answered 1 question correctly, scoring 10 more points; meanwhile, the Bac Hong Secondary School team broke through with 2 correct answers, scoring 20 points.

Coming to the 40-point mystery crossword question: "Which destination in Central Vietnam was awarded the World Heritage title by UNESCO in 2003?", both teams missed the opportunity to score points when they failed to give the correct answer, "Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park".

In the end, with a total of 80 points, the team of Ha Tinh University Primary, Secondary and High School won convincingly, becoming the second team to enter the semi-finals of the program "English Window" season 2.

The match is not only a place to demonstrate knowledge, courage and foreign language ability, but also arouses the spirit of learning, creativity and exchange among secondary school students in the whole province.
