“Fatherland in the Heart” is a special art program jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and Hanoi People's Committee, as a gift to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Attending the program were comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with leaders and former leaders of central and local agencies, departments, ministries, branches... and about 50 thousand spectators at My Dinh Stadium.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: "Today, joining the flow of cultural and artistic activities to celebrate this important milestone, taking place across the country, Nhan Dan Newspaper - the Central Agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Voice of the Party, State and People of Vietnam - together with the Hanoi People's Committee solemnly organizes the special political art program "Fatherland in the heart".
Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh delivered the opening speech of the program.
Journalist Le Quoc Minh said that tonight's program in the capital is not only a simple art program, but also a patriotic harmony combining music, stage performance, complex art with the depth of history and inspiration of the times, community emotions. The program will recreate heroic historical pages, honor the sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers, and convey a message about national pride, the spirit of great solidarity, and the aspiration to rise of the Vietnamese people in the new era.
"From the V-shaped stage design symbolizing 'Vietnam - Victory', to sacred images such as the fluttering Red Flag with Yellow Star, the majestic and powerful march of the army, or timeless slices recreating history... all are elaborately staged with the desire to evoke pride, connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts at home and abroad. We believe that music is the language of the soul, connecting generations, an effective way to tell the story of the country in a simple, sincere and profound way" - Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh expressed.
The show took place at 8pm on August 10 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, with director Dang Le Minh Tri as General Director and musician Nguyen Huu Vuong as Music Director. The music night attracted famous artists from many generations, such as Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, artists Pham Thu Ha, Tung Duong, Dong Hung, Vo Ha Tram, Ha Le, young singers Toc Tien, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Thanh Duy, Suboi...
Modern stage, international standards
As General Director Dang Le Minh Tri said , the concert stage was designed on a national and international scale, divided into 4 zones with meaningful messages: Independence, Freedom, Happiness, Red flag with yellow star.
The entire performance space is arranged in a V-shape, 26m high, as a vivid declaration of love and pride of every Vietnamese child for their homeland. The entire technology, sound and lighting are designed according to international concert standards. The sound and lighting system is no longer just a technical element to support the performances in the program, but has told its own stories with special colors.
Each performance in the program is a slice of history but told in the language of contemporary art, combining cinematic and studio effects appearing for the first time on a concert stage, through a giant LED screen system, helping viewers experience all the performances most fully from every angle.
The concert “Fatherland in the Heart” recreates the historical milestones of the country associated with the image of the red flag with yellow star, the sacred symbol of patriotism and national aspiration. Each performance brings emotional musical experiences while awakening the sacred pride of the Fatherland.

Throughout the program, there were duets between veteran artists and young artists. This not only showed the inheritance but also a message for the journey between tradition and modernity, past and future. The songs that have gone through the years were combined delicately and skillfully with new arrangements.
Singer Noo Phuoc Thinh stirred up the atmosphere with the song "I love Vietnam".
The program opened with the medley "August 19 - National Defense Corps - The Road We Take" remixed in a youthful and heroic style with three powerful voices: Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, Artist Tung Duong and Vo Ha Tram.
With the same youthful and vibrant spirit, the songs "Len Dang", "Duong Len Tien Tien - Ho Keo Phao" performed by Dong Hung, the medley "Lang Toi - Ngay Mua" performed by Pham Thu Ha, "Hue - Sai Gon - Ha Noi" performed by Ha Le, "Viet Tiep Chua Hoa Binh" sung by Tung Duong, "Se Chien Thang" performed by the band Oplus... received applause and cheers from the audience throughout the stadium.
The artists' performances received especially enthusiastic cheers from the audience, not only cheering, clapping, waving light-sticks, the audience also sang along with the artists, like a giant choir, especially with the mic effects placed in the Fanzone areas.
The enthusiastic cheers of the audience also inspired the artists to excel in their performances.
Along with the exciting and enthusiastic moments, the program also had quiet moments, when tens of thousands of people fell silent before the veteran's confession, "Freedom and peace are not easy, we must try to keep them now". And right after that, the song "Mother loves children" performed by singer Vo Ha Tram continued the emotions, with the audience singing along.
The combination of different vocal styles in some performances also brought surprise and excitement to the audience, such as the performance "Song of Hope - Desire" which was a combination of Vo Ha Tram and rock singer Ha Le.

The final part of the program is youthful songs, with melodies praising the country and regions, performed by artists loved by a large audience such as Toc Tien, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Thanh Duy, the band Oplus...
Special Highlights
The most memorable highlight of the program was the opening moment, when tens of thousands of spectators stood up and sang together the song "Tien Quan Ca" by musician Van Cao with both lyrics.
The remixed National Anthem still retains its heroic and powerful features, but is also intimate and soft. The bright red of the national flag shirts in the light from tens of thousands of flashlights on the majestic background of the National Anthem created an extremely strong and emotional impression on anyone attending the concert.

To make this performance create the best impression in terms of sound and emotion, the program's production team installed many microphones at the Fanzones in the stadium, to create a special effect when everyone sang together in "Tien Quan Ca".
The second highlight of the concert “Fatherland in the Heart” is the appearance of 68 soldiers from the 1st Army Officer School, who represented the Vietnam People's Army in the Parade at Red Square (Moscow, Russia) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (May 9, 1945–May 9, 2025).
Possessing the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the soldiers not only contributed to lighting up the patriotic spirit in the music night, but also brought special emotions to the audience, when parading on stage at My Dinh Stadium under the fluttering national flag and the majestic singing of the National Anthem by tens of thousands of spectators.
68 soldiers of Army Officer School 1 also reenacted the majestic parade at Red Square amid the proud cheers of tens of thousands of spectators at My Dinh Stadium.
As one of the soldiers who represented the Vietnam People's Army in the parade at Red Square (Moscow, Russia), Sergeant Le Xuan Huy, a fourth-year student at the 1st Army Officer School, expressed his emotion when he was able to perform the parade for the first time within the framework of a "national concert", with the national anthem playing, and the cheers of tens of thousands of home-grown spectators.
"The cheers of the audience at My Dinh Stadium made us, the soldiers participating in the parade, extremely emotional. We told ourselves to always try our best, overcome all difficulties to bring the audience the most solemn and beautiful parade" - Le Xuan Huy said.
The third highlight is the presence of outstanding Vietnamese athletes such as: shooter Pham Quang Huy, soccer player Quang Hai, swimmer Anh Vien, disabled weightlifter Le Van Cong, and many other sports figures who have brought glory to the country in international arenas. The presence of these impressive figures contributes to spreading the spirit of sports, conveying the message of solidarity and national pride.
The final highlight was the brilliant fireworks display that ended the concert, lasting 8 minutes at the F1 racetrack (Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi). With 300 high-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude fireworks, this light show ended the night with sublime emotions and spreading pride.
