Mr. Nguyen The Sinh - Principal of Quang Trung Primary School (Hue City, Thua Thien-Hue Province) said that the images of the rice trays appearing on social networks were indeed taken at the school, but the portions in the trays were not the portions for the school's students.

Currently, the school collects 27,000 VND/meal for boarding meals. Of this, about 4 - 5,000 VND is for snacks (boxed fresh milk or yogurt...) and 800 VND for gas. Thus, the main meals for boarding students cost about 21,000 - 22,000 VND/meal.

In addition, the school also collects 10,000 VND/day for boarding services. However, according to the explanation of the Principal of Quang Trung Primary School, this fee is not related to boarding meals but is for the children's lunch break.

According to this principal, the school organizes boarding for students according to the wishes of the students. The boarding team has 23 people hired by the school, signed contracts, and paid full social insurance. Food is also purchased by the school through the supplier and has red invoices.

The school always tries to provide the best quality meals for students and also to satisfy parents. However, there may still be meals that are not of the best quality, making some parents dissatisfied.

" We are verifying where the images appearing on social networks come from, who took them, why they exist, and what the purpose of those people posting them is. Once we have the results, we will send a report to the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Hue City, " said the Principal of Quang Trung Primary School.

The leader of Hue City People's Committee said that after receiving the information, Hue City People's Committee set up a team to inspect the actual meals of the students. Through the inspection, the meals were complete, different from the photos reported by parents. However, the unit also made corrections, requiring the school to ensure the quality of meals for students.

All classes have a Zalo group for parents. The inspection team requires homeroom teachers to update students' daily meals so that parents know and to ensure objectivity.

Previously, some parents of Quang Trung Primary School (Hue City) reported that their children's boarding meals were far inferior to those sold on the roadside.

According to the parents, they have to pay 27,000 VND/student per day, including the boarding meal, a box of yogurt in the early afternoon, and gas. In addition, each student has to pay an additional 180,000 VND/18 sessions (equivalent to 10,000 VND/session) for boarding services. Thus, the total amount of money that parents have to pay to Quang Trung Primary School for a day of boarding is 37,000 VND/student. This is not the first time they have complained about the school's boarding meals not being of guaranteed quality.

However, in a response posted on the school's information portal, a representative of Quang Trung Primary School confirmed that the images of the lunch trays reported by parents on some social networking sites were not the meals the school prepared for students at noon on April 11.

Every day, the food, once prepared, is divided into trays in the kitchen and then transferred to the multi-purpose room and classrooms. When the students sit down to eat, the boarding teacher will pour soup for them. Then the students start eating lunch. The photo of the April 11 lunch was sent to the school-wide parent group as usual.

" The daily menu and meals of the students are always photographed and sent to two zalo groups for communication between the school and parents ," the school added.
