Ministry of Construction directs inspection of safety conditions of vehicles and drivers

Accordingly, to remedy the consequences and prevent similar traffic accidents, the Ministry of Construction requested the Da Nang Department of Construction to urgently organize an inspection of compliance with legal regulations on business and business conditions for the owner of the passenger car that caused the accident.

At the same time, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City reviewed and fully supplemented the road signaling system, organized traffic reasonably and scientifically on the roads in the area; enhanced the safety of the traffic infrastructure system, paying special attention to dangerous slope areas; promptly handled landslides and road damage caused by floods.

The Ministry of Construction also requested that the competent authorities strengthen inspection of compliance with legal regulations on business and conditions for automobile transportation business by transport business units in the area. In particular, the competent authorities need to focus on inspecting regulations on vehicle safety conditions; working hours, conditions, and health of drivers; and strictly handle violations.

Previously, the Da Nang Department of Construction said that at present, the car with license plate 43F-007.76 involved in the accident was not registered for transportation business at the Da Nang Department of Construction, and the competent authority has not yet issued a license for this vehicle to operate. Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and support the victims.
