Minister Nguyen Van Hung attends the groundbreaking ceremony of the National Sports Training Center in Da Lat

Accordingly, the Da Lat National Sports Training Center Project was decided to be invested by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with a capital of 286 billion VND, implemented at the Cultural and Sports Area, Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat.

Up to now, the project has basically completed the implementation of the 2,000-seat training and competition house (Area B2) with a capital of 186 billion, expected to be inaugurated in the fourth quarter of 2025.

For the project in Area B3 of the Da Lat National Sports Training Center Project, the total capital is 100 billion VND, with main items including: Covered swimming pool area, Golf practice area and accompanying technical infrastructure system. The project is expected to be completed in June 2026.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized: “This is one of the typical works and projects that were started and inaugurated online simultaneously at 80 points across the country - an important political event, contributing to promoting the spirit of solidarity, the desire for development and affirming the great achievements of our country in the period of innovation and integration.

From there, deepening national pride, love for the country, adding determination in the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, "creating momentum, creating position, creating force" to enter a new era as General Secretary To Lam stated "The era of rising up of a rich, civilized, prosperous and happy country".

The groundbreaking ceremony today demonstrates the special attention of the Party, State and Government to the cause of physical education and sports; at the same time, it is a testament to the effective cooperation between central ministries, branches, local authorities and construction units, and at the same time realizes the goal of building a modern sports foundation, improving people's health, discovering and nurturing talents, and contributing to the international achievements of Vietnamese sports."

The B3 Area project is expected to complete the infrastructure, maximize the value and purpose of the Da Lat National Sports Training Center and contribute to completing the overall value of the Cultural and Sports Area, Lang Biang Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong.

From there, it opens up opportunities for strong development in the field of high-performance sports, while linking with tourism and culture, creating more momentum to promote the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province and the Central Highlands region.

In order for the project to be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality, safety and long-term efficiency, the Minister also requested relevant units to seriously carry out the following tasks immediately after this groundbreaking ceremony:

Project management board: Focus on management, supervision, and transparent progress and finance.

Construction contractor: Mobilize human resources, equipment, comply with labor safety, environmental protection, and construct according to standards.

National Sports Training Center: Coordinate construction, prepare management and exploitation plans when the project is put into use.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee: Coordinate site handover, ensure security and order, and supervise construction.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the Da Lat National Sports Training Center is one of 250 projects nationwide with a total investment of 1.28 million billion VND implemented under the direction of the Prime Minister, which will simultaneously start construction and be inaugurated today. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

On the same day, Lam Dong province also held a groundbreaking ceremony for a social housing project for workers at Ham Kiem II Industrial Park. and Ham Kiem Commune Resettlement Area Project, serving the site clearance work of the North-South High-speed Railway project through Lam Dong.

In addition, on this occasion, the locality also held the inauguration ceremony of the Phan Thiet Airport Access Road Project Phase 2 and the Mo Vet Bridge Construction Investment Project in Da Teh 2 Commune.
