On the afternoon of August 23, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi presented the decision to appoint the new Director General of Customs and two Deputy Directors General of the General Department of Customs.
According to the Decision of Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Deputy Director General of General Department of Customs - appointed to hold the position Director General of General Department of Customs since September 1st.
In addition, the leaders of the Ministry of Finance presented the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Duc Hung - Director of Bac Ninh Customs Department and Mr. Au Anh Tuan - Director of Customs Supervision and Management Department - to hold the position. Deputy Director General of Customs since September 1st.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi congratulated the new General Director. Nguyen Van Tho and new Deputy General Directors Au Anh Tuan and Tran Duc Hung.

The Deputy Minister of Finance assessed that the newly appointed leaders of the General Department of Customs all have basic training, many years of working and growing in the customs sector. During their working process, they all demonstrated their capacity, qualifications, and completed their tasks well.
Considering that the upcoming tasks of the customs sector have many new challenges and requirements, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Chi requested the new Director General Nguyen Van Tho and the new Deputy Directors General Au Anh Tuan and Tran Duc Hung to continue to strive, make efforts, promote their capacity and experience, and unite with the customs sector to successfully complete the assigned tasks in their new positions.
On behalf of the appointed leaders, the new General Director Nguyen Van Tho expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Finance and the leaders, civil servants, public employees and workers of the entire customs sector.
New Director General Nguyen Van Tho said that being appointed to the new position is both an honor and a very heavy responsibility for him personally, as well as the new Deputy Directors General of the General Department of Customs.
Sharing the upcoming tasks of the Customs sector, Mr. Tho expressed his wish to continue receiving the attention and facilitation of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance; the coordination of units under and directly under the Ministry of Finance, and the consensus and joint efforts of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the entire customs sector.
At the ceremony, the Ministry of Finance announced the retirement decisions for General Director of the General Department of Customs Nguyen Van Can and Deputy General Director Hoang Viet Cuong from September 1.
