Ministry of Science and Technology appoints leaders at 5 affiliated units

On May 19, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on transfer and appointment of leaders to 5 affiliated units. The ceremony was chaired by Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, with the participation of Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh and representatives of leaders of units in the Ministry.

At the ceremony,   Ms. Le Huong Giang, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel announced the personnel decisions of the Minister of Science and Technology , effective from May 16, 2025, including:

Decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Phu Hung, Acting Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Engineering, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Engineering;

Decision to transfer and appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Sciences;

Decision on transferring and appointing Ms. Nguyen Nhu Quynh, Chief Inspector of the Ministry, to hold the position of Director of the Legal Department;

Decision to assign the authority of Chief Inspector of the Ministry to Mr. Do Huu Tri, Deputy Chief Inspector of the Ministry;

Decision to extend the term of office until retirement age for Ms. Nguyen Phuong Anh, Deputy Director of the Radio Frequency Department.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung personally presented the decisions, presented flowers and sent best wishes.

In their acceptance speeches, the appointed officials expressed their honor at being trusted by the Party Committee Standing Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology and entrusted with important responsibilities at their units. They emphasized that this is not only a source of pride but also a great responsibility, requiring effort, dedication and solidarity to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the appointed officials expressed their gratitude and pledged to strive to fulfill their tasks in their new positions. Mr. Do Huu Tri affirmed his determination to work with the Ministry Inspectorate to overcome the transition period, towards a new model under the Government Inspectorate. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep affirmed that she will accompany the unit to effectively implement tasks in the fields of social sciences, humanities and natural resources. Ms. Nguyen Nhu Quynh pledged to inherit and promote the results of the Legal Department, towards solidarity and efficiency.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh emphasized that the transfer and appointment of staff this time is not only a normal personnel arrangement but also a strategic step to enhance the operational efficiency of the units under the Ministry. The Deputy Minister believes that the new staff will quickly integrate, promote their capacity, and actively contribute to the development of the science and technology sector.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung congratulated the officials who were awarded the decision, and emphasized the spirit of innovation and creativity in the new working environment. New spaces and new tasks, whether big or small, are what stimulate creativity and innovation. The Minister also acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the officials in the past time, believing that the new team will continue to promote their capacity and qualities, contributing to the strong development of the Industry.

Notably, the Minister also mentioned Resolution 66-NQ/TW recently issued by the Politburo on innovation in law-making and enforcement, identifying this as one of four breakthrough resolutions for national development. The Minister noted that the Ministry's legal work must aim for consistency and quality in the legal system, not only focusing on the Ministry's field but also paying attention to the connection with other sectors and fields.
