On the afternoon of July 11, the medical force of Song Tu Tay Island (under Brigade 146, Naval Region 4) promptly received and provided emergency care to a fisherman who was seriously injured while working in the Truong Sa sea area.
The victim was Mr. Bui Van Tra, born in 1978, residing in Ly Son special zone, Quang Ngai province. Fisherman Tra worked for fishing boat QNg 96093 TS, captained by Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh (born in 1984, from the same hometown).
Previously, at around 10am on July 11, while fishing, Mr. Tra unfortunately slipped from a height of about 3m, hit his back hard on the side of the boat and fell into the sea. The strong impact caused fisherman Tra severe pain in his lower back, suspected of causing musculoskeletal injuries.
The victim was rescued by fishermen, brought back to the boat, and given first aid.

At around 2:15 p.m. on July 11, fisherman Tra was taken to Song Tu Tay Island Infirmary. After examination, initial diagnosis determined that fisherman Tra suffered a severe injury to the left lumbar region.
Medical staff of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 are rescuing fishermen in distress.
Immediately, the medical team on the island deployed emergency measures, such as intravenous fluids, pain relief, anti-edema, and muscle relaxants; at the same time, closely monitored the progress of the abdomen and excretory system and prepared a further treatment plan if there were any negative developments.
The patient's health condition is currently stable and he continues to receive intensive medical care at the island infirmary.
