At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Do Trong Hung announced the Politburo's decision on Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, to cease holding the position of member of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 term; to transfer, assign, and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Presenting the Politburo's decision and offering congratulatory flowers, and delivering a speech assigning tasks, Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee emphasized: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh was born in 1967, from An Thuong commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi, has a university degree in Command and Staff of the Combined Arms; Senior Military major; is a well-trained officer in many fields in the military environment, has a strong revolutionary spirit; having held many positions, regardless of position or circumstance, he always strives to excellently complete the assigned political tasks and is recognized by the Party and State leaders.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee stated: Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee is a large Party Committee with a rich revolutionary tradition, a very important position and is on the path of strong development. The Politburo believes that Comrade Nguyen Doan Anh will quickly grasp the local situation, continue to promote his experience, capacity and courage, and together with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, promote the tradition of solidarity and the results achieved, and successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 19th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress.

The Head of the Central Organizing Committee also requested the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee, and leaders at all levels and sectors in Thanh Hoa province to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, and sharing with Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh to lead and direct the implementation of the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, and Resolution No. 58 of the Politburo; continue to develop the Party Committee and Thanh Hoa homeland even more strongly, becoming a model province as Uncle Ho always wished for during his lifetime.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Doan Anh, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders for entrusting him with the important responsibility of being the head of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. He sincerely thanked the comrades in the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for unanimously accepting him as a comrade, teammate, brother who was allowed to return to his hometown where he had worked to continue promoting the heroic and glorious tradition of the Party Committee with a long revolutionary tradition, one of the three Party Committees directly under the Central Committee with the largest number of grassroots Party organizations and Party members in the country.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh is deeply aware that: The task assigned by the Party is both a great honor and a very heavy responsibility in the face of high requirements for Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong political system; socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of Thanh Hoa province. This is the expectation and also the responsibility for individuals and the Standing Committee in implementing the goal of developing 4 dynamic economic centers, 5 growth pillars and 6 economic corridors to create new space for socio-economic development of the province; striving by 2025, Thanh Hoa will be among the leading provinces in the country; by 2030, it will become a modern industrial province, with people having a higher standard of living than the national average; by 2045, it will become a rich, beautiful, civilized and modern province; a comprehensively developed and exemplary province of the whole country.

The Provincial Party Secretary seriously grasped and understood the opinions, directions and tasks assigned by Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Commission.
