Bitcoin price at the highest level in history, scams appear "following"

Data from CoinMarketCap shows that the value of Bitcoin has increased sharply and reached 73,000 USD as of noon on March 12 (Vietnam time). This is the highest price ever of the world's most popular cryptocurrency.

This development makes the digital asset market even more exciting.

Cryptocurrency wallets are tools that help users store digital assets such as cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). However, if not careful, users of cryptocurrency wallets can become victims of scammers who specialize in stealing cryptocurrency (crypto drainers).

Cryptocurrency wallet developer Leather has issued a warning about a fake app on the App Store. The company says it does not offer any similar service on iOS, so users could have their digital assets stolen by using the fake tool.

"If you have entered your secret key phrase into this fake app, you need to quickly transfer your cryptocurrency to another wallet," Leather warned, emphasizing that "fraudsters can use this information to steal all of your digital assets."

BleepingComputer reported that several users reported having their cryptocurrency stolen after using fake Leather wallets. They claimed they downloaded the app from the App Store without knowing it was fake and that it has not been disabled.

To steal digital assets, criminals still use familiar tricks such as posting about the application and then giving fake "5-star" reviews to deceive users.

Along with the "multi-star" reviews, articles about fake apps also have many "positive comments", but in fact, they are all directed from A to Z by scammers.
