BHG - On the morning of April 25, Vi Xuyen district held a memorial service and buried the remains of heroic martyrs at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Pham Duc Duyen, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Military Region II. On the side of Ha Giang province, there were comrades: Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Phan Huy Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the XV National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang province; Standing Committee of the People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and Steering Committee 515 of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region II.

Reading the eulogy at the funeral, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vi Xuyen district emphasized: The victory in the battle to protect the northern border was of great significance, but the losses and injuries could not be compensated. At the Vi Xuyen front, thousands of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army and the people of all ethnic groups in Ha Giang province fought with intelligence, courage, and resilience with the will of "Not an inch to go, not a millimeter to leave", determined to hold each hill, each cliff, and each high point with the courageous spirit of "Living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying and turning into immortal stone"; more than 4,000 officers and soldiers heroically sacrificed and remained in the land of the northernmost tip of the Fatherland.
