Accordingly, after a period of monitoring, the rangers of Con Dao National Park discovered a subject showing signs of entering the forest to hunt rare animals.

On the afternoon of September 30, the interdisciplinary functional force including Ben Dam Forest Ranger Station in coordination with Ben Dam Police Station (Con Dao District Police) and Ben Dam Border Control Station (Con Dao Border Guard Station, Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) discovered NMP (residing in residential area No. 7, Con Dao District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) transporting 17 individuals of long-tailed macaques (international name is fascicularis), a rare and endangered animal belonging to group IIB, from the edge of the forest to the sea, preparing to transport them to the mainland for consumption. Of these, 10 were dead and 7 were alive.

The location where the subject was discovered by the authorities was the end of Ben Dam route - near Ben Dam Port. At the time of discovery, NMP did not have any documents proving the origin of the 17 long-tailed macaques. The authorities counted and recorded the 17 macaques weighing 33.5 kg.

Currently, Ben Dam Forest Ranger Station is drawing up a record of administrative violations, handling the subject and evidence according to the provisions of law.
