Notice No. 860/UBND-VP3 issued by the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province on September 5, stated that storm YAGI has crossed Luzon Island (Philippines) in the northern sea area of the North East Sea, becoming storm No. 3 active in the East Sea. In the coming time, the storm's developments are extremely unpredictable; it is forecasted that Nam Dinh province is at very high risk of being affected by the storm from September 6 to 8, 2024.
Therefore, the program to organize the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Giao Thuy district (1934 - 2024), receive the First Class Labor Medal and receive the district meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2023 is postponed and is expected to be held on September 28, 2024.
To proactively respond to storm No. 3, on the afternoon of September 5, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 24/CD-UBND on focusing on emergency response to storm No. 3 in 2024, after storm YAGI officially strengthened into a super storm.
In particular, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province requested functional agencies, People's Committees of coastal districts... to prohibit vehicles from going out to sea, prohibit recreational activities at sea, and swimming from 6:00 a.m. on September 6, 2024 until the last storm news.
