Boldly promote important political events of the province

In recent times, Quang Tri Newspaper has proactively organized and carried out the task of informing and propagating about various areas of social life, accompanying the development of the homeland and the country.

In 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper will publish 260 daily issues, 52 weekend issues, 12 special issues, and 2 Tet issues. On holidays and Tet, the newspaper publishes by combining issues to release at the same time.

Publish 365 electronic newspaper pages, select news articles with content that needs to inform foreign audiences to compile and post on the English page of the newspaper. Some news articles are converted to audio format to serve the diverse needs of readers.

In addition, each week the newspaper also produces and posts 3 video clips. The fanpage, youtube, tik tok, twitter of Quang Tri newspaper updates many news articles and video clips on various areas of socio-economic life to widely spread information on social networks.

The newspaper continues to maintain the columns: "Party Building", "Today's Issues", "Weekend Forum", "Good People - Good Deeds"... to focus on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; directly combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints; orienting public opinion, strengthening people's trust.

Notably, during the year, Quang Tri newspaper opened many special pages and columns to promote the province's important political events; organized a writing contest on the topic "Advanced models of ethnic minority areas" on the occasion of the 4th Provincial Ethnic Minority Congress; published special issues to celebrate major events, such as: announcing the provincial planning, starting construction of Quang Tri Airport and other key projects.

In 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper received more than 60 petitions and information from citizens. After receiving them, the editorial board directed the classification of petitions and processed them according to their specific content. The work of processing citizen petitions has contributed to enhancing the newspaper's critical thinking, meeting the people's aspirations and helping the government and competent agencies grasp and resolve cases satisfactorily and in accordance with the law.

Through connecting and mobilizing charitable organizations and individuals, Quang Tri Newspaper has organized 24 gift giving events for people and students in difficult circumstances in the area with a total budget of nearly 2.1 billion VND. The newspaper's trade union and youth union also organized many social and charitable activities in remote areas with a budget of about 500 million VND.

Thanks to the efforts of the staff and reporters, in 2024, Quang Tri Newspaper was awarded a certificate of merit by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for organizing the 2024 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award; implementing the regulations of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on coordinating the implementation of inspection, supervision and discipline enforcement of the Party. The Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit for the propaganda work of the Festival for Peace. The Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises recognized the Quang Tri Newspaper Party Cell as a typical Party Cell that excellently completed its tasks.

Real, multi-dimensional information about pressing issues that cause public outrage

In 2025, the whole province will accelerate to reach the finish line, striving to complete the targets set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; this is a year with many activities to celebrate major holidays of the homeland and the country; the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Therefore, Quang Tri Newspaper will focus on quality and effective propaganda of important political events of the country and the province; in-depth propaganda of Party building work; promoting the solution-oriented nature of the press. Effectively combat and refute wrong views and bad and toxic information on the internet and social networks.

Focus on propaganda on administrative reform and investment promotion activities. Timely clarify and provide truthful and multi-dimensional information on pressing issues that cause public concern; act as a bridge to reflect the legitimate aspirations and wishes of all classes of people to Party committees, authorities and functional agencies. Actively fight against corruption and waste, criticize negative manifestations in social life.

Continue to build a team of cadres and civil servants with adequate qualities, capacity, and professional ethics; strive towards a journalism that is combative, modern, professional, and humane. Promote social and charitable activities, contributing to ensuring social security in the province.

Participate with quality in national journalism awards and specialized journalism awards organized by the central and provincial levels.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results achieved in propaganda, publishing, charity and social security activities of Quang Tri Newspaper in 2024.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that 2025 is a year with many major events for the province and the country. Therefore, he hopes that Quang Tri Newspaper will continue to affirm its position, leading role, and orientation of the press in information activities in the province in particular and the whole country in general.
