In the first year studying at the new school, Nguyen Ngan Thuy, a student of class 9A1, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School, shared that after experiencing the first boarding meal at the new school, she found it interesting and quite impressive. The food at the school is diverse, tasty, fresh, clean, and ensures food safety. In particular, every Friday, students will have their meals changed once so that they do not get bored.

Sharing the same feeling, Tran Thi Song Thu, a student of class 6A2, shared that the food is fresh, diverse, and there are different dishes every day, without any repetition. She likes the Friday lunch the most, with her favorite dishes being vermicelli, pho, etc.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoach (Bac Tu Liem District) - representative of the students' parents, he was honored to join the Board of Directors and members of the boarding group of the school to monitor and trace the origin of food at An Thinh Company. In addition, Mr. Hoach also met with the Board of Directors of the school to select the contractor, thereby seeing the participation of the school and An Thinh Company very professionally and responsibly.

“Before sending my child to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School, we were also very concerned. But after several times of directly supervising the input and output of food as well as the distribution of meals to students, I am completely assured and confident about the origin of the food and have faith in sending my child to study at Minh Khai Secondary School,” said Mr. Hoach.

In order for the boarding kitchen to be put into operation, the school has organized communication sessions, professional training and integrated propaganda to ensure school food safety, improve knowledge and practice for the board of directors, kitchen managers, food processors, and service staff in the kitchen, parents' association, and students. 100% of staff, teachers, and employees participating in the boarding kitchen are trained in food safety knowledge.

Vice Principal of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School said that recently, the school has organized a review for students to register, voluntarily register for boarding meals; assigned staff, teachers, and employees to provide boarding care scientifically, in accordance with the actual conditions of the school and disease prevention work.

The boarding kitchen activities are guaranteed to comply with food safety regulations. The school also strictly implements legal documents guiding the work of ensuring food safety and hygiene in schools. In particular, the Board of Directors and key staff of the school work together to develop the boarding process and select contractors.

After the Board of Directors, inspectors, school union, head of boarding group, and representatives of parents together monitored and traced the origin of the food, the school signed a contract with An Thinh Consulting and Trading Service Joint Stock Company - a unit providing hot food catering services in schools. The company committed to purchasing food with clear origin, full certificates of food safety from health authorities, and QR codes.

Currently, the school kitchen has one chef, three service staff and one supervisor. The staff of the boarding kitchen are given a health check every 6 months and are fully trained in food safety.

The school's kitchen system is arranged and designed according to a one-way process, avoiding overlap between stages such as cooking, avoiding collision between raw and cooked food, ensuring food safety.

Therefore, from the stage of receiving food to food processing, there is always the accompaniment, inspection and supervision of representatives of parents, the Board of Directors, inspectors, and school health workers during meals. After checking the input food, tracing the origin of fresh food, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, etc., the school continues to monitor the QR code every day.

To ensure food safety during food preparation, the school sends representatives to receive fresh food from the kitchen, under the supervision of organizations and unions (at 6:30 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).

To have quality meals, adequate nutrition, suitable for students' taste, the school cooperates with the company to check the meals to have a plan to change accordingly. In particular, the menu is publicly disseminated to each teacher, on that basis, teachers can monitor and give feedback on the quality of students' meals in many forms of direct reflection to the Board of Directors or to the kitchen.

In the coming time, the school will continue to regularly and closely monitor food safety assurance stages in the boarding kitchen so that parents will increasingly trust and send their children to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School - a newly established school that has made many marks in the education sector.
