On the morning of April 10, the 11th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi. The Party Central Committee carried out a number of contents on personnel work.

Specifically, the Party Central Committee agreed to let comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, cease to hold the position of alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, during his tenure as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, and reducing the prestige of the Party organization and local government.

At the same time, consider and decide to discipline comrade Truong Hoa Binh, former member of the Politburo, former Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government by removing him from all positions in the Party.

Comrade Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and State.
