On November 4, at the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and FPT Corporation (FPT) signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

At the signing ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Viet Thanh proposed that in the coming time, FPT will support Ba Ria-Vung Tau in building a synchronous and effective digital transformation strategy, in line with the general development roadmap of the province and the whole country, contributing to improving the efficiency of public service activities of the provincial government, providing the best support for the people.

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh commented: “Digital transformation is entering a new phase, which can be considered a “revolution” when for the first time, a scientific sector becomes a productive force. Digital transformation will help change the way we work. The goal is that all people can “communicate” with the government via their phones. And together we will create the first applications for the people of Ba Ria-Vung Tau”.

The signing ceremony took place on November 4 at the headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

During the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Minh Thong shared that in recent times, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has considered digital transformation an important task and has achieved certain results. However, there are still difficulties and confusion. The province's aspiration is to develop strongly and comprehensively in digital transformation, focusing on 4 pillars according to the direction of the Prime Minister that the province will overcome: information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance and digital data.

“With that goal, after signing the cooperation agreement with FPT Corporation, the province will direct relevant departments and branches to cooperate closely with enterprises to implement specific strategies and contents of 10 fields and sectors to promote digital transformation in the province. The province also wishes to cooperate more closely with FPT Corporation in the field of education and training,” Mr. Dang Minh Thong added.

According to the agreement, FPT will cooperate with Ba Ria-Vung Tau in accompanying, supporting, consulting on development orientation, overall strategic solutions on digital transformation; developing plans to overcome shortcomings and limitations and proposing solutions to complete targets and tasks in digital transformation.

FPT will advise on planning for the development of telecommunications and information technology infrastructure; developing digital transformation platforms; digital data; information security, meeting the province's comprehensive digital transformation requirements in a synchronous and modern manner, aiming to make Ba Ria-Vung Tau province one of the typical localities in digital transformation in the shortest time.

At the same time, FPT will also support communication and propaganda to people and businesses to accompany and respond to the implementation of digital transformation on a social scale; organize conferences and seminars on digital transformation; connect businesses and associations with authorities at all levels in digital transformation work. Consult and support Make in Vietnam digital transformation platforms to provide businesses with opportunities to promote digital transformation in the province.

FPT will transfer digital transformation knowledge and technological equipment to the Community Digital Technology Group with a focus on bringing digital transformation applications into practice, to each enterprise, business household, and person in the province.

In addition, it also supports training, dissemination of knowledge, development of high-quality human resources on digital transformation and information security for officials, civil servants and public employees in the province; Creates conditions for information technology students at educational and training institutions, colleges and universities in the province to have the opportunity to intern, practice and recruit at member units of FPT Group.
