For the first time, a large-scale event attracted more than 1,000 senior leaders, industry experts and the world's leading technology corporations, such as Google, NVIDIA, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell... to gather in Vietnam.
That is the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors (AISC) 2025 co-organized by Aitomatic Company (USA) and the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hanoi, March 12.
Shaping the future of AI and semiconductors
AISC 2025 is not only a forum to access the latest information but also a cross-border business bridge, opening up breakthrough opportunities for the Vietnamese semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry, making an important contribution to the global technology value chain.
The AISC 2025 event takes place from March 12 to 14 in Hanoi, including seminars with the topics "The semiconductor technology revolution - artificial intelligence in Silicon Valley" and "The convergence of semiconductors and artificial intelligence: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities"; Exhibition and Investment and Business Connection, taking place over two days, March 12-13, at the National Convention Center.
The focus, the policy forum "Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the new era" will take place on March 14, at the National Innovation Center with the participation and direction of the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Finance, shared that this is a pivotal time when AI and semiconductor technology are driving the global digital transformation, reshaping industries and economies. Under the strong leadership of the Government, Vietnam is embracing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in which AI and semiconductor technology are strategic pillars for development. These fields bring an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to deeply integrate into the global value chain and contribute to technological advancement. As one of the fastest growing digital economies in Southeast Asia, Vietnam benefits from a strategic location, skilled workforce and modernizing infrastructure. Combined with government support and an open investment environment, these factors position Vietnam as an emerging hub for global technology corporations.
Accordingly, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy emphasized that the AISC 2025 event serves as a dynamic platform for thought leadership, enabling collaboration and groundbreaking discussions to shape the future of AI and semiconductors.
"The International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors is a forum for academic exchange and an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position in the regional technology race. This event will help domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, improve their innovation capacity and promote sustainable development of the high-tech industry," said Mr. Vu Quoc Huy.
On behalf of the conference organizers, Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic, shared that the Vietnamese Government's efforts in promoting AI and semiconductor development are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain. He emphasized that AISC 2025 shows strong interest from the international community, affirming Vietnam's attractiveness as a strategic destination in the high-tech sector.
“The combination of national vision and international investment needs of developed economies, such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, etc., has created great attraction for the AISC Conference, opening up many important opportunities for the development of the AI and semiconductor industry in Vietnam," said Dr. Christopher Nguyen.
Pioneering with open source model
In terms of content, the opening session of the AISC 2025 Conference brought breakthrough perspectives on the intersection of AI and semiconductor technology. Dr. Anna Goldie from Google DeepMind shared about AlphaChip, Google's revolutionary step in the field of AI-based microchip design. In addition, leading scientist from Stanford University, Mr. Warwick, also brought pioneering research on AI-based IC design, scaling up semiconductor microchips, as well as the potential of the AI LLM model in specific fields. Representing Vietnam, Mr. Bui Hai Quan, Vice Chairman of VPBank, presented AI applications in the banking sector with the creativity and technological application capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises.
The discussion at the forum emphasized the role of open source AI in innovation and optimization of chip production, opening up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access advanced technology and improve their position in the global supply chain. Notably, for the first time in Vietnam, enterprises attending the AISC conference participated in the international Startup Pavilion-Shark Tank program. Here, leading investment funds directly listened to and evaluated innovative ideas, creating opportunities for domestic technology companies to quickly connect with senior leaders, present projects and possibly reach important agreements right at the conference, participating in the global technology market.

In addition, a special highlight of AISC 2025 is the launch of the SemiKong Model, an open-source AI model designed to optimize chip manufacturing. This is the result of cooperation between Aitomatic (USA), Tokyo Electron (Japan) and FPT Software (Vietnam). This also demonstrates effective cooperation between technology powerhouses and Vietnamese enterprises.
According to experts, SemiKong was born in the context of increasing demand for open-source AI platforms, which play an important role in improving speed, accuracy and productivity for high-tech manufacturing sectors. The announcement of this platform in Vietnam marks an important step forward in the ability of domestic enterprises to master technology, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain.
In addition, the AISC 2025 Conference attracted more than 50 technology booths of domestic and international enterprises, together demonstrating new technology products and initiatives in the fields of AI and semiconductors. This is an opportunity for Vietnamese business representatives to introduce their technological potential, attract foreign investment in the context of the shifting high-tech supply chain, contributing to raising the position of Vietnam's technology industry globally./.
