A new study by the Center for Advanced Preparedness and Threat Response Simulation (CAPTRS, USA) shows that artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to help detect signs of risk and may even prevent sudden cardiac death.

According to CAPTRS, AI analyzed health factors to identify people at “very high risk of sudden cardiac death” from 25,000 people in Paris (France) and Seattle (USA) who died of sudden cardiac arrest and 70,000 others who were still alive, according to age, gender and residential area.

Artificial intelligence (AI) could be used to help detect risk signs and even prevent sudden cardiac death.

In addition, according to Phil Siegel, founder of CAPTRS, researchers use AI to create personalized risk equations for individuals by combining data on high blood pressure treatment, history of heart disease, and behavioral disorders such as alcohol abuse. The American Medical Association estimates that AI can identify more than 90% of people at risk of sudden death, helping doctors make earlier and more useful diagnoses.
