As of the time of locking the online registration portal, the General Admission Support System of the Ministry of Education and Training recorded a total of more than 733,000 candidates who had entered their admission wishes, equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering to take the high school graduation exam in 2024.

In 2023, more than 660,000 candidates entered their admission wishes on the System, equivalent to 65.9% of the number of candidates registering for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

Previously, in 2022, the Ministry of Education and Training recorded more than 616,000 candidates registering for university entrance exams, accounting for 64.1% of the number of candidates registering for the 2022 high school graduation exam.

Thus, the number of candidates registering for admission in 2024 is the highest compared to the past 3 years.

Starting tomorrow (July 31), candidates will pay the admission fee according to the number of wishes online. This will be done until 5:00 p.m. on August 6.

To avoid overload, the Ministry of Education and Training has divided the time frames into 6 groups for provinces to make online payment of fees. Specifically:

- From 0:00 on July 31 to 17:00 on August 1, candidates in the following provinces can pay online: Hanoi, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Yen Bai.

- From 0:00 on August 1 to 17:00 on August 2, candidates in the following provinces pay online: Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong City.

- From 0:00 on August 2 to 17:00 on August 3, candidates in the following provinces can pay online: Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An.

- From 0:00 on August 3 to 17:00 on August 4, candidates from the following provinces: Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang City, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Kon Tum pay fees.

- From 0:00 on August 4 to 17:00 on August 5, candidates in the following provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh pay fees online.

- From 0:00 on August 5 to 17:00 on August 6, candidates in the following provinces pay online: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang, Can Tho City, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau.

Along with the specific time division, the online payment of university admission fees in 2024 is implemented on many online platforms. The admission registration system allows candidates to choose 1 of 17 different payment channels, including: banking channels, payment intermediaries, e-wallets and mobile payment channels.

From July 22 to 5:00 p.m. on July 31, admitted candidates who are eligible for direct admission can confirm their admission on the System; before 5:00 p.m. on August 19, schools will notify admitted candidates of the first round and no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 27, all admitted candidates must complete the first round of online admission confirmation on the System.
