Accordingly, at around 6am the same day, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, section Km54+150 (through Xuan Hung commune, Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province), a series of accidents occurred between 4 cars and 1 truck.

According to a traffic police officer patrolling the highway, while traveling, the car with a HCMC license plate suddenly braked, causing the cars behind to not be able to handle the situation in time, leading to a series of collisions.

At the scene, 5 vehicles were badly damaged, with debris scattered everywhere. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but many people in the vehicles were panicked.

Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police of Team 6, Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security quickly arrived at the scene, coordinated to handle the incident and regulate traffic. However, the incident caused traffic congestion for many hours.

At more than 8am, traffic on the highway was still very heavy, moving slowly through the area, stretching more than 12km from Km56 to more than Km68.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
