Faced with the situation of 40,000 hectares of winter-spring rice in Can Tho that have not been consumed, Mr. Ha Vu Son - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City said that currently in the city there are enterprises capable of consuming the entire area, so he hopes that the agricultural sector of the three districts of Vinh Thanh, Co Do and Thoi Lai will connect and help farmers consume rice.

"That is Thien Phat Food Processing Company Limited (Thien Phat Food Processing Company). This company has purchased about 23,000 hectares of rice from people in Thanh Binh district, Dong Thap province in the past 3 years. Dong Thap Department of Industry and Trade, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Pham Thien Nghia also trust the way this company works. I myself have also come to learn about the company's rice purchasing activities in Thanh Binh district" - Mr. Son said.

Mr. Son emphasized that Thien Phat Food Processing Company is very capable, has enough warehouses, dryers, and is ready to buy. As long as the authorities of the three localities coordinate well, it will help farmers feel secure in production, avoiding the situation of having to sell through traders, often encountering the situation of "breaking the deal".
