4/6 majors with an absolute benchmark of 30 are Pedagogy

The 6 majors with the absolute benchmark of 30/30 this year include 2 military majors: Medicine of the Military Medical Academy and International Relations of the Academy of Military Science. These are all benchmarks applied to female candidates.

The remaining 4 majors are English Pedagogy and Chinese Pedagogy at the 2 Foreign Language Universities of Vietnam National University , Hanoi and Hue University.

Notably, Hue University also applies additional criteria. For English pedagogy, candidates must achieve an English score of 9.5 or higher, and a literature score of 8.5 or higher. For Chinese pedagogy, candidates must have a perfect foreign language score of 10/10.

In 2025, the whole country had only 9 candidates achieving a perfect score of 30/30 in the combination of 3 subjects, including 8 candidates in group A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and 1 candidate in group B00 (math, chemistry, biology).

However, with the permission to convert international language certificates to English scores in the admission combination, the number of candidates achieving 30/30 will increase significantly.
