On the evening of December 24, at the My Dinh National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 2024 Vietnam Golden Star Award ceremony took place within the framework of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029.

Top 10 budget contributors 65,000 billion VND

Launched in July 2024, the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2024 attracted 293 enterprises from 53 provinces and cities across the country to participate. After 3 rounds of voting, the national final selection council selected the most outstanding enterprises to award the titles of Top10/ Top100/ Top 200 - Typical Vietnamese Brands.

The scoring criteria for voting include: total assets; total revenue; equity; profit after tax; budget payment; return on equity (ROE); total number of employees and each criterion has a corresponding weight.

The 200 enterprises winning the Vietnam Golden Star Award 2024 have total assets in 2024 of VND 8 million billion; revenue in 2023 reaching VND 799,000 billion, profit reaching VND 115,000 billion, paying the budget VND 65,000 billion and creating jobs for 405,000 workers.

Among them, the Top 10 Golden Stars of Vietnam were named including FPT Joint Stock Company, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development, Vietnam National Shipping Lines - JSC; Tan A Dai Thanh Group Investment Joint Stock Company, Stavian Chemical Joint Stock Company, KIDO Group Joint Stock Company, Khang Dien House Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company, Traphaco Joint Stock Company.

The organizing committee informed that this top 10 has total assets in 2023 of nearly 2.5 million billion VND, revenue in 2023 of 230,000 billion VND, profit of 36,500 billion VND, budget contribution of 19,000 billion VND and creating jobs for 106,000 workers.

Vietnamese entrepreneurs are creative and are the driving force behind the country's development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that the world is experiencing complex and unpredictable changes: economic recession, rising inflation, political conflicts, especially the explosion of artificial intelligence technology.

“In that context, Vietnam faces many significant challenges, but we still maintain an optimistic economic growth rate, exploiting the great strength and potential of the country.

Vietnamese enterprises, especially entrepreneurs, have demonstrated a proactive and creative spirit, constantly striving to improve, flexibly adapting to market changes, seizing opportunities to overcome challenges, and affirming their position in the international arena," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to him, the State always respects and appreciates the role of businesses and entrepreneurs, considering them the driving force for national development and growth.

Therefore, "this award is not only an honor but also a deep gratitude for the contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs who have created good social values".
