Tran Thanh L. (long-sleeved black shirt, right) was administratively fined 7.5 million VND for posting false information on social networks.

According to the authorities, on March 10 and 11, 2025, Tran Thanh L. used two Facebook accounts named “Tran L..” and “Nhi K..” to post many false articles in social media groups. These articles were related to the activities of Quang Binh Auto Supermarket, owned by Mr. Hoang Van Binh (residing in Dai Trach commune, Bo Trach district).

The posted information has caused negative impacts, creating incorrect public opinion about this business. After being worked with by the authorities, Tran Thanh L. clearly recognized the violation, voluntarily removed the false content and pledged not to repeat the offense.

Pursuant to Point a, Clause 1, Article 101, Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP of the Government on administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, information technology and network information security, Quang Binh Provincial Police have issued a decision to administratively sanction Tran Thanh L. with an amount of 7.5 million VND.

Spreading false information not only causes public confusion but also affects the reputation, rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals. Violations will be strictly handled according to the law.
