The special art program "May with Him" ​​is organized by the Vietnam Drama Theater on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), International Labor Day May 1, the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

The program includes two works: "The Man in Rubber Sandals" and "The White Night" which will be performed in turn in May. The play "The Man in Rubber Sandals" is based on a literary script by Algerian writer Kateb Yacine (1929-1989). This is a collaborative art program between the Vietnam Drama Theater and the Algerian Embassy in Vietnam. The play, directed by Meritorious Artist Le Manh Hung, will premiere on the evening of May 16 at the Vietnam Drama Theater (No. 1 Trang Tien, Hanoi).

The play "White Night" by the late author Luu Quang Ha, directed by People's Artist Xuan Bac, with the performance of nearly 100 artists and actors of the Vietnam Drama Theater is also one of the outstanding works of the Vietnam Drama Theater. The play was awarded a gold medal and 3 gold medals for the actors at the National Drama Festival. "White Night" will be performed at 8:00 p.m. on May 18, 19 and 24 at the Vietnam Drama Theater. The show will be at 8:30 a.m. on May 20 at Dai Nam Theater (89 Hue Street, Hanoi).

This is an opportunity for the capital’s audience to relive the nation’s heroic memories through profound and humanistic works of art. Notably, before the performance, the audience and artists will sing the National Anthem together, creating sacred and emotional moments.
