Speaking to reporters, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loc Commune (Nghia Dan District, Nghe An ) Lai Van Duong informed that upon learning of the incident in which many 5-year-old preschool children at Nghia Loc Commune Kindergarten were beaten and had bruises all over their bodies, on the morning of October 8, the People's Committee as well as the Commune Police went directly to the school to work with the people involved.

Initially, the school informed that 6 students were beaten by other students in the same class using the teacher's school supplies. Of the 6 children beaten, two were beaten with many bruises on their arms, legs, backs, and faces, namely CTTC and C.D.M (5 years old), and a girl named TNQA, a classmate, was said to have used the teacher's school supplies to beat her friend.

Reports from the school leaders and class teachers showed that when the incident occurred, the two female teachers in charge of the class were not present in the classroom due to other duties, and assigned another female teacher to look after the children. This teacher was in the process of looking after the children when the incident occurred. Because this teacher was taking care of the children in the hospital, the locality has not yet verified further information from this teacher.

After being beaten by their friends, two cases suffered bruises on many parts of their bodies. Because their families were worried, they took them to the hospital for treatment and health monitoring. The other cases had minor injuries and did not go to the hospital for examination. Currently, their health is stable.

"The locality is continuing to verify clearly, and at the same time assigning responsibility to school leaders to clarify their responsibilities for allowing this incident to occur," Mr. Duong stated.

The incident of 6 5-year-old children at Nghia Loc Kindergarten being beaten and left with many bruises on their bodies happened on the afternoon of October 7. The local authorities and authorities are currently continuing to investigate.
