BTO-The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control under the Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company has just announced the release of water through the Ham Thuan spillway. The release will start at 4:00 p.m. on September 25, with a discharge flow of 25m3/s and may be adjusted to increase depending on the hydrometeorological situation of the reservoir.
Previously, at 8:00 a.m. this morning (September 25), the water level of Ham Thuan Lake reached 602.771 m, the water flow to the lake was 137.74 m3/s, and the machine flow was 125.24 m3/s.
On the same day, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued an urgent tropical depression (TLD) report. At 10:00 on September 25, the center of the TLD was at about 15.3 degrees North latitude; 110.4 degrees East longitude, about 250 km East Southeast of Da Nang, about 180 km East of Quang Ngai. From September 25 to September 27, the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 100 - 150 mm, some places over 200 mm.
Faced with the unpredictable developments of the storm, on September 24, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue requested a number of relevant departments and agencies in localities in the province to proactively respond to heavy rains, risks of flooding, flash floods, and landslides in the coming days.
