According to comrade Vo Van Men, Head of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection - Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province, the agricultural sector has issued a recommended schedule for planting summer-autumn rice in the eastern districts from May 10 to 25.

In particular, the Department of Agriculture also noted that for the upstream area of ​​Go Cong Tay district and the south of National Highway 50, if conditions are favorable, planting should begin on May 5. According to the forecast of the Meteorological and Hydrological Station of Tien Giang province, there will be rain around May 5 and the rainy season will begin around May 10, so the Department of Agriculture has proposed a planting schedule from May 10 to 25.

The Department of Agriculture recommends that people should be cautious when planting seeds in areas that do not meet the conditions. Areas north of Highway 50 and the downstream of Go Cong Sweetening must plant seeds at the end of the calendar.

According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Tien Giang province, the agricultural sector has issued a schedule for planting summer-autumn rice in the eastern districts. However, areas with favorable conditions can plant rice earlier. Up to this point, the water source in favorable areas has ensured the planting.

Currently, due to the influence of high tides, salinity is still intruding into the Xuan Hoa sluice area. However, Xuan Hoa sluice can still take water. After the high tide in early April of the lunar calendar, the salinity will gradually recede to the river mouth and end the salinity intrusion season.
