The rate of decrease in the price of gold rings is slowing down, leading to a higher price than the world price of 2.9 million VND/tael. The price of gold rings continued to fall by another 150,000 VND per tael, SJC Company bought at 60.35 million VND, sold at 61.5 million VND. The domestic gold price was 14.8 million VND/tael higher than the world price for gold bars and 2.9 million VND/tael for gold rings.

Gold prices dropped to a low of $1,975 per ounce during the US trading session (night of December 11). The reason for the continuous decline in gold prices was the strengthening of the USD as well as the continued selling of gold by investors, causing the price to fall by about $170 per ounce from its peak.

Traders will also be keeping a close eye on major U.S. Treasury bond auctions this week. The U.S. government will sell more than $20 trillion in debt this year. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note is currently at 4.26%.
