Today (August 12), the National Assembly Standing Committee will continue its 48th session with many important contents.

For example, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the draft Law on Temporary Detention, Temporary Imprisonment and Prohibition of Leaving the Place of Residence.

The Minister of Public Security will present the basic content of the draft. The Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice will present a summary of the review report and recommend issues to be submitted to the National Assembly for focused discussion.

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft Law on Enforcement of Criminal Judgments (amended) and the Law on Enforcement of Civil Judgments (amended).

Also on the same day, the National Assembly Standing Committee will discuss the explanation, acceptance, and revision of the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils. This content will be presented by Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Duong Thanh Binh.

At the same time, consider and approve the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee regulating the implementation of democracy within the agencies of the National Assembly and the agencies of the People's Council.

During the working day yesterday, August 11, after the opening speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man , the National Assembly Standing Committee reviewed the National Assembly's report on people's petitions in July 2025.

Then, review the report of the thematic monitoring delegation on the implementation of policies and laws on the development and use of human resources to meet the requirements of socio-economic development, especially high-quality human resources.

At the same time, give opinions on the specific investment mechanism and policies for Gia Binh International Airport.

On the same afternoon, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on explaining, accepting and revising the draft Law on State of Emergency.
