According to the decision signed and issued by Mr. Nguyen Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai City People's Committee on May 10, Nguyen Nghiem Secondary School was assigned the enrollment target of 326 students for grade 6.

To assign this enrollment target, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City has counted the number of 5th grade students (school year 2023-2024) in Nguyen Nghiem ward.

This is also the first school year that the Quang Ngai City education sector has implemented the policy of "which ward recruits students in that ward".

There is no longer a situation where students study in grade 5 in one ward or commune but move to grade 6 in another ward or commune. This policy also puts an end to the overload situation at some "top" secondary schools in Quang Ngai City.

This information spread and was shared by many social media users. This seriously affected Mr. Hung personally. Not only that, it also "distorted" the image of the education sector during the opening ceremony.

After seeing the information, Mr. Hung reported to the authorities, requesting clarification of the motive and purpose of the person spreading the news that he received money to "buy a school".

Police investigated and initially determined that the original news with the above content was posted by a Facebook account registered abroad.

The police also worked with the person who shared the above information without verifying and determining its accuracy.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online reporter, Mr. Hung said that the person who spread this fake news on the occasion of the opening of the school year had the motive to defame. Therefore, it is necessary to base on the Law on Cyber ​​Security to thoroughly handle the information and those who shared it.

"Suddenly, false information was spread, negatively affecting teaching and learning. We reviewed the enrollment process, and everything complied with the decision issued by the City People's Committee," said Mr. Hung.
