Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh assessed that in recent times, Hanoi's press has been active, proactive, accurately, quickly, promptly and vividly reflecting all aspects of political, economic, social, security, defense and foreign affairs life of the capital and the country; reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people, increasingly meeting the public's needs for information, culture and entertainment.
"Hanoi press is always a pioneer in the fight against corruption and negativity; refuting the false arguments of hostile forces, protecting the ideological foundation of the Party," the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized.

This is the opening event of political, cultural and professional activities of journalists in the capital and central news agencies, ministries and branches in the area, practically celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2024), towards the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The Giap Thin Spring Press Festival 2024 is an opportunity for the Hanoi Journalists Association to honor, award, and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding works winning the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award in 2023, in order to encourage and motivate the branches to promote achievements in work and expertise, tasks, continue to explore and innovate to achieve higher achievements in 2024.

The Organizing Committee received 148 works (including 54 print works, 77 electronic works, 17 Radio - Television works). The final round council reviewed and unanimously selected 43 best works to award the Ngo Tat To Hanoi Journalism Award 2023.
