In the first 9 months of 2024, Tuan Giao district continued to effectively implement "2 breakthroughs" in socio-economic development: restructuring the agricultural sector, converting crop structure and building and developing urban infrastructure. Land and forest allocation has been implemented on 12,006.46 hectares (reaching 77.6%); Forestry land use right certificates have been granted on 11,384.54 hectares (reaching 73.6%).

In the first 9 months, the district disbursed public investment capital for national target programs of VND 103,383 billion (41.9% of the plan). The district has implemented 83 projects (43 projects continued to be disbursed; 5 projects were prepared for investment; 35 projects were started in 2024). The total capital plan for 2024 is VND 310,659 billion, the payment and disbursement value in 9 months reached VND 157,693 million (51%). Tuan Giao district has established a medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030 of VND 4,501,625 billion, with a total of 130 projects.

In addition to the achieved results, the socio-economic development situation in the district still has some limitations: Site clearance and construction progress of some projects are still slow; the work of completing internal affairs to issue certificates of forest land use rights is slow; arbitrary leveling and land reclamation, violations of the Land Law, forest burning for farming, and forest destruction still occur in some communes...

Tuan Giao District People's Committee proposed to the Provincial People's Committee: Adjust protective forest land from 52,976.66ha to 39,339ha (reduced by 13,637.66ha); production forest land from 17,709.81ha to 14,014.5ha (reduced by 3,695.31ha). Consider, reclaim and assign to the district to manage over 20ha currently assigned to Dien Bien Agricultural Seed Joint Stock Company in Quai Nua commune. Support resources to help the district build Tuan Giao town to become a type IV urban area by 2030.

At the working session, members of the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee gave suggestions and directions for the tasks that Tuan Giao district needs to implement in the coming time. In particular, focusing on developing community tourism, considering tourism as a spearhead of the economic sector; accelerating the disbursement of National Target Programs; promptly completing the construction of the Type IV Urban Planning Project in the district; focusing on traffic planning; focusing on investing in digital infrastructure and digital transformation in the area.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do emphasized that in the last months of the year, Tuan Giao district needs to focus on key tasks: Continue to effectively implement the agricultural restructuring program towards sustainable development, focusing on macadamia, coffee, and medicinal plants associated with new rural construction. Pay attention to tourism development; urban planning of Tuan Giao town is associated with the general planning of the province, on the basis of synthesizing resources. Speed ​​up the implementation progress and disbursement of public investment capital in 2024, striving for a disbursement rate of over 95%, paying special attention to career capital sources of National Target Programs (sub-projects related to culture, digital transformation, labor, etc.). Implement well the work of poverty reduction and social security.
