On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025), on the evening of August 11 at the Hanoi Opera House, the Vietnam National Traditional Theater performed the reformed opera From Viet Bac to Hanoi - part 3 of the epic art series The Country of Ten Thousand Miles, adapted from the novel of the same name by Associate Professor, Doctor, writer Nguyen The Ky.
The play recreates the period from 1941 to 1945, when the Vietnamese revolutionary movement was boiling in preparation for the historic moment of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The stages of secret activities, mass mobilization, force building and the moment of marching to Hanoi are portrayed with great emotion, conveying the urgent, fierce atmosphere and the belief in victory of the entire nation.
The highlight of the work is the character Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh singing on stage, creating a sense of closeness, while bringing a new way of expressing historical figures in the art of reformed opera. Along with music , costumes, lighting and experienced actors, the play brings a lively artistic space, stirring emotions.
The audience at the Hanoi Opera House attentively watched each scene, many were moved when witnessing the reenactments of sacred historical moments.
The work "From Viet Bac to Hanoi" (directed by People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien) is a profound tribute to leader Ho Chi Minh and the generations who made the historic autumn of 1945./.
