Saigon University has just announced that it will not convert the admission method using the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam (ĐGNL) to the admission method using the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (High School Exam Score Method) for admission majors with the original combination of A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and C00 (Literature, History, Geography).

This new regulation does not have enough basis to perform equivalent conversion. At the same time, the school does not use the method of considering the GPA score to consider admission for majors with the original combination of A00 and C00.

Previously, the Saigon University's regular university admissions council announced the entrance threshold, equivalent conversion rules and regulations on admission scores for regular university admissions in 2025.

According to this announcement, the conversion of the National High School Graduation Exam scores to the High School Graduation Exam scores (30-point scale) will be based on the equivalent percentile table of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Official dispatch No. 4222/BGDĐT-GDDH dated July 21, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training on comparing the score distribution of some combinations of high school exam scores in 2025, high school study scores stated: "In case of using the results of separate exams (capacity assessment, thinking assessment, ...) and other methods, it is necessary to announce the percentile of the units organizing the separate exams, the training institution determines the most suitable combination (original combination, usually the combination with the highest correlation coefficient between the two exams) to convert with the results of the separate exam, not building a bridging relationship".

Next, the Center for Testing and Training Quality Assessment of Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the framework for converting admission scores based on the National High School Graduation Exam scores and admission scores based on the 2025 High School Graduation Exam scores.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced the equivalence percentile table between the National High School Graduation Exam score and the high school graduation exam score according to the admission combinations A01, B00, C01, D01.

The above percentile table does not have an equivalent conversion in the A00, C00 combination.

The school uses 4 methods:

- Method 1: Direct admission and priority admission

- Method 2: Admission using the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment Exam

- Method 3: Admission using the results of the 2025 Computer-Based College Admission Test (V-SAT).

- Method 4: Admission using the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

Methods 2 and 3 (considering the GPA and V-SAT scores) do not apply to majors that are not in the teacher training group.
