Talking about high Tet bonuses at universities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has been... named for many consecutive years.

However, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - said that the information that the school has the highest Tet bonus of up to 100 million VND is an incorrect understanding.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh said that every year, the Tet bonus at HUTECH is implemented according to the 13th month salary regulation for staff, employees and lecturers. Everyone will have a Tet bonus equivalent to one month's salary they are receiving. For example, a person receiving a salary of 20 million VND will receive a Tet bonus of 20 million VND.

As for the highest bonus, Mr. Anh said he could not answer exactly because the salary belongs to the personal information of managers and lecturers.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, in 2022, the Tet bonus for staff and lecturers ranges from 30 million VND to the highest level of more than 70 million VND.

By 2023, it is known that this school's Tet bonus will continue to increase with the highest level of over 80 million VND.

In 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law will have a Tet bonus of 12-45 million VND/person. This amount includes 3 Tet bonuses, 13th month salary, and competition bonus.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology, in 2023, the school's Tet bonus fund is 5 billion VND. The specific bonus level depends on each person's salary, but the average figure is about 18 million VND/person.

The 2024 Tet bonus of many schools has not been specifically informed, but according to tradition, along with efforts to take care of the lives of staff and lecturers, the 2024 Tet bonus will likely be higher or at least the same as last year.

Up to now, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has officially informed about the 2024 Tet bonus for employees.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan - Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade - said that according to the school's internal spending regulations for 2023, the school will give a Tet bonus of 20 million VND/person from janitors to principals, regardless of position, title, or degree.

This bonus applies to all school officials and employees, members of the School Board with a working period of one year or more, this bonus does not apply to daily or seasonal contracts.

Mr. Hoan said that the Tet bonus policy of "janitors working like principals" receiving 20 million VND/person has been applied by the school for many years and has received the consensus of the employees.

In addition to the above Tet bonus, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade also sets aside a sum of 3 million VND/person for New Year's lucky money for staff, lecturers, and employees as well as gifts for retired leaders and teachers.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade spent nearly 20 billion VND on Tet bonuses and lucky money for nearly 800 staff, employees, lecturers and workers.
