Saigon University adds admission to A00, C00 combination of capacity assessment scores

According to Saigon University, on July 28, Ho Chi Minh City National University issued an official dispatch supplementing the percentile table and the conversion framework for the capacity assessment test scores to the high school graduation exam scores for the two admission groups A00 and C00.

"Therefore, Saigon University has sufficient basis and will carry out equivalent conversion between the two above methods for the school's admission majors that use the capacity assessment method with the original admission combinations being A00, A01, B00, C00, C01, D01, and at the same time withdraw notice No. 1049" - the school's notice stated.

Thus, Saigon University considers the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment exam for admission based on all combinations as previously announced.

Previously, on July 23, Saigon University issued Notice 1049 on the lack of basis to convert the admission method using the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam to the admission method using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam for the school's admission majors using the original admission combination of A00 and C00.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , this year, test scores of all methods must be converted to a scale of 30.

Schools will consider admission based on exam scores (on a 30-point scale) from high to low, regardless of admission methods. Schools will also not divide quotas for each method as before.

This year, there are competency assessment exams such as Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Education, thinking assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, specialized assessment of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and schools organizing V-SAT exams.

Exam organizing units announce percentiles and equivalent score conversion frameworks on a 30-point scale. On this basis, universities use the results of the exams on their own published conversions.
