In 2025, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law plans to sharply increase its regular university enrollment quota, opening at least 3 new majors in the fields of business, management, and law.

On the evening of December 27, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announced its expected plan for regular university enrollment in 2025, with increased enrollment quotas and the opening of new majors.
Plan to open 3 new majors in 2 fields
MSc. Le Van Hien - Deputy Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law - said that in addition to the 5 majors that have been allowed to enroll and train by the Ministry of Education and Training for many years, in 2025, the school plans to open at least 2 new training majors.
In the field of business and management, in the business group, the school will enroll and train additional international business majors; in the finance - banking - insurance group, the school will enroll and train additional finance - banking majors.
At the same time, the school has prepared to apply for permission to open a new training major in the field of law. In the law group, the school will enroll and train additional economic law majors.
"With the planned opening of three new training majors and the strong development of human resources in recent times, the expected enrollment target for 2025 will increase sharply from 3,210 to 4,000," Mr. Hien added.
Admission by 3 admission methods
Regarding the allocation of enrollment quotas for each method, Mr. Hien said that the school plans to keep it the same as in 2024, accordingly, method 1 and method 2: 45% of total quota; method 3: 55% of total quota.
In 2025, the school plans to enroll students in 3 ways:
Method 1: direct admission, direct admission and priority admission according to the University Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Method 2: Admission based on the school's admission plan, including 4 subjects:
Subject 1: Candidates studying at international high schools, meeting all the following conditions: first, have graduated from high school; second, have an international language certificate IELTS with a score of 6.5 or higher - issued by the British Council (BC) or International Development Program (IDP);
High school diploma awarded by foreign educational institutions (this diploma must be recognized as equivalent to the training level of high school education program in Vietnam according to regulations).
Subject 2: has an international language certificate or the results of the US SAT exam, meeting all the following conditions: first, has graduated from high school; second, the candidate has an international language certificate (English, or French, or Japanese); has SAT results, reaching the score level according to the school's regulations; third, has the average score of 6 semesters of high school (grades 10, 11 and 12) of 3 subjects in the group of the admission major reaching 22.5 or higher (this average score is rounded to one decimal place).
Subject 3: Candidates are students studying at schools listed in the "List of high schools with priority for admission in 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City National University", meeting the following conditions: first, have graduated from high school; second, must have studied for 3 years at one of the schools listed in the "List of high schools with priority for admission in 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City National University";
Third, have good academic results in each year of grades 10, 11 and 12; fourth, have an average score of 6 semesters of high school for 3 subjects in the group of subjects for admission from 24.5 or higher (this average score is rounded to one decimal place).
Subject 4: Admission based on the results of the university entrance exam (V-SAT).
Method 3: Admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Orientation to become a multidisciplinary university
Sharing about the operational orientation for 2025, Dr. Le Truong Son - Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law - said that the school will continue to maintain internal solidarity and perfect the leadership apparatus.
The school will increase its training scale in both quantity and quality. With the plan to open new majors in 2025, the school will move towards training in a number of majors other than law to realize the school's orientation of becoming a multidisciplinary university.
According to Mr. Son, in 2025 the school will put into use the third facility in Thu Duc City and ensure all conditions and policies for students to study well and parents to feel secure.
