The Head of the Central Propaganda Department suggested that the Military Technical Academy should strengthen international cooperation; invest in facilities, and train high-quality human resources for the development of the defense industry.

On the morning of November 18, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and congratulated cadres, lecturers and staff of the Military Technical Academy on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024).

Joining the delegation was Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Congratulating teachers and students of the Military Technical Academy on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and commended the achievements in innovation, improving the quality of education, training, scientific research, construction and development of the Academy.

In the coming time, in order for the Military Technical Academy to continue to make breakthroughs in the new period, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the Academy continue to thoroughly grasp and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, closely follow and effectively implement the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions in the resolutions of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, development of science and technology; development of the defense industry; building and promoting the role of intellectuals to meet the requirements of building and modernizing the Army and developing the country in the new period.

The Academy must constantly innovate its training content and programs, be proactive and creative in developing teaching plans; actively update new information, closely follow reality, closely combine theory with practice, and apply modern teaching methods suitable for each subject.

In particular, the Academy needs to strengthen international cooperation in training; proactively develop training programs, invest in facilities, participate in training high-quality human resources to serve the development of the defense industry, semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, information security, automation, etc.; promote the construction of a smart, modern school, worthy of being the leading training, education, scientific research, and military technology center of the Army and the country.

Reporting to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department and the Youth Union, Lieutenant General Le Minh Thai, Director of the Military Technical Academy, said that applied research activities have always been the Academy's strength.

The unit has many strong research groups as a basis for promoting research capacity, training staff, forming and developing a specialized research force according to the model of strong research groups; with basic research orientations and products closely following the priority technology orientations of the State, the Army, and key technologies of the 4.0 industrial revolution.

From scientific research and technology development activities, the Academy has created many scientific and technological products serving national defense and dual-use products serving socio-economic development.

In the recent period, nearly 1,400 scientific research topics of students have been implemented with more than 1,200 scientific publications in journals, many of which are in the ISI/Scopus category.

On this occasion, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia visited the facilities and displayed typical scientific and technical products researched and developed by the Academy's staff and students./.

The General Secretary said that Vietnam's education sector needs to strive to increase its ranking on the regional and international education map, such that by 2030 Vietnam will be among the top three ASEAN countries in terms of the number of international publications.
