Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Diep Truong Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said: Previously, the two old provinces had implemented the task of building a land price list. Binh Phuoc province (old) was implementing the task but was merged so it was temporarily stopped, while Dong Nai province (old) has selected a consulting unit and continued to implement it, which is basically stable now.

Mr. Diep Truong Vu proposed to adjust the bidding package so that the consulting unit that created the land price list for Dong Nai province (old) can continue to implement it throughout the new province.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang agreed with the above proposal. At the same time, she requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urge the consulting unit to speed up the progress and complete all tasks before September 30, to post on the electronic information portal to collect opinions and feedback, and to appraise, before submitting to the Provincial People's Council.

Previously, on July 25, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc signed Decision No. 526/QD-UBND to establish the Dong Nai Provincial Land Price Appraisal Council. The Council is chaired by Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang. The Council is responsible for organizing the appraisal of the draft land price list, establishing a working group to assist the Council and a number of other tasks.

According to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, from January 1, 2026, the land price list will be issued annually, instead of every 5 years as at present. The Provincial People's Committee will develop and submit to the Provincial People's Council for decision the first land price list to be announced and applied from January 1, 2026.
