Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center held the 8th Congress of Delegates for the term 2025 - 2030

The Congress unanimously evaluated the 2020-2025 term. The Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Center have made many innovations in leadership, direction, closely following tasks, implementing comprehensive implementation of all aspects of work, prioritizing the tasks of scientific research, application, technology transfer, and international cooperation.

Accordingly, the number of topics and tasks implemented reached 283% of the set target; products and technologies put into equipment or practical application were 3 times more than in the previous term; topics published internationally exceeded 192% of the set target; the number of utility solution patents, industrial design patents, and invention patents was 5 times higher than in the previous term.

In the 2025-2030 term, with the motto "Cooperation - Breakthrough - Creativity - Efficiency", the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Center are determined to continue to lead, direct, promote the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, flexibility, creativity, build a strong and clean Party organization, build the center into one of the leading scientific and technological organizations of the Army and the country, some research fields are on par with the region and the world , become a model, a symbol of bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, contributing to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Speaking at the congress, Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc praised and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center in the past term; at the same time, he requested the Party Committee of the center to focus on leading, building and developing a strong and comprehensive center, thoroughly grasping and implementing the directives and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense , especially Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 3488-NQ/QUTW of the Central Military Commission on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the Army.

Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc requested the center to focus on promoting the effective implementation of established scientific research programs, proactively participating in key national science and technology programs, prioritizing military and defense tasks; harmoniously combining basic research with applied research, technology adaptation and transfer; promoting the advantages of direct cooperation and bridging between scientific and technological units and organizations of the Russian Federation and Vietnam, expanding international relations on science and technology with other countries; increasing investment, modernizing infrastructure and technology, building high-quality human resources, sharing knowledge resources with research facilities inside and outside the Army. Along with that, building a standardized, elite, modern center, excellently completing all assigned tasks in the new term.
