The program is expected to last about 115 minutes, starting with a welcome ceremony, followed by a parade, traditional ceremonies and main art performances.

The producer revealed that the opening ceremony of the 19th ASIAD will recreate the past and present, introducing the rich history and profound culture of Hangzhou and Zhejiang through vivid images based on 3D technology without the need for glasses.

Director Sha Xiaolan confidently declared that he would make the whole world remember the scene of the sky lit up by millions of virtual sparks, each spark representing a participant in the online torch relay.

Finally, they will form a figure walking down the stage and lighting the 19th Asian Games cauldron with a real-life torchbearer.

Previously, in June 2023, China launched a blockchain-based digital torch relay program.

As of September 15, the program has attracted more than 100 million participants.
