- On the afternoon of April 9, the Ministry of Finance held a meeting to implement the Conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Comrade Bui Van Khang, Deputy Minister of Finance chaired the meeting. The meeting was held in a combination of direct and online form from the Ministry of Finance to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities.
Attending the meeting at Lang Son bridge were comrade Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments, branches, Lang Son City People's Committee and Cao Loc district.
At the meeting, representatives of ministries, branches and localities reported on the implementation of the Conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, including: reviewing and handling constructions and real estate that are public assets when arranging and streamlining the apparatus and administrative units; reviewing projects, constructions and headquarters under construction or approved for investment and construction that are affected by the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units.
Accordingly, implementing the Central's instructions, ministries, branches and localities have promptly carried out the review, arrangement, and handling of houses, land and projects, works and headquarters under construction with approved investment policies that are affected by the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and administrative units. Up to now, the units have had specific review results, classified the facilities that continue to be used and the redundant facilities, from which they have developed plans for management and handling according to regulations, in which some localities prioritize the conversion of functions and use for other public purposes depending on the practical situation to be appropriate...
Also at the meeting, delegates raised a number of difficulties and obstacles in handling public works and real estate when arranging and streamlining the apparatus and administrative units. At the same time, they recommended and proposed to relevant units to provide guidance on plans to arrange and handle public assets as well as contents related to the implementation of works and projects related to the arrangement of the apparatus organization...

Through the review, the number of houses and land that are the headquarters and operational facilities of agencies, organizations, and units under the management of the province is 4,522. Based on regulations and actual situations, the expected demand for use after the arrangement is as follows: for agencies, organizations, and units of the provincial block, there are a total of 168 facilities, of which there is a need to continue using 159 facilities, and there are 9 surplus facilities. For agencies, organizations and units in the district block, the total number of houses and land facilities is 4,354, of which 3,965 facilities will continue to be used, and 389 surplus houses and land facilities are expected to be transferred for management and handling according to regulations. Regarding the construction projects of headquarters that are being implemented or have been decided on investment policy, after reviewing at the provincial level, there are 8 projects, at the district level, there are 7 construction projects, headquarters that have been decided on investment policy, approved investment, are under construction and are temporarily suspended due to administrative unit arrangement. | |
