On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, representatives of relevant departments, branches and leaders of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghi Loc district.

Speaking at the Program, comrade Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association said: With the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source, when eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", continuing the successes achieved from the Social Activity Program "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude - 2023", towards the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organize the Social Activity Program "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude - 2024" with a series of gratitude and volunteer social activities in Nghe An province as a gratitude and encouragement to relatives of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers and families of meritorious people who have overcome disabilities and difficulties, continuing to contribute their strength and intelligence in labor and production.
In this program, the Vietnam Journalists Association and the "Lighting the Flame of Gratitude in 2024" delegation were present at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center - a unit currently nursing, treating and taking care of the health of war invalids and meritorious people in Nghe An province.
Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center is currently caring for 57 people, including 56 people with revolutionary contributions and 1 relative of a person with revolutionary contributions.
According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, after 50 years of establishment and development, along with improving the quality of care and treatment for wounded soldiers, Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center has continued to build new rooms, repair and replace equipment to serve the daily life of wounded soldiers.
“The Vietnam Journalists Association in collaboration with S Life - Golden Window Training & Life Skills Development Joint Stock Company has surveyed, repaired and upgraded the dining area serving wounded soldiers and equipped the entire lighting system and sound equipment for the multi-functional hall of the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center. We hope that when this new project is put into use, it will bring wounded soldiers a new, more convenient living space, a safe place to rest and encourage their spirits, helping wounded soldiers being treated at the Center overcome painful losses and be more optimistic in life,” said comrade Le Quoc Minh.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of wounded and sick soldiers and meritorious people who have devoted and sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, along with the good implementation of preferential policies of the Party and State, the work of "repaying gratitude", taking care of war invalids, martyrs' families, and people with meritorious services to the revolution has now been gradually socialized with many widespread movements, having practical effects. The Vietnam Journalists Association and journalists across the country hope that these meaningful activities will be increasingly expanded and improved in quality.
Kindly visiting and encouraging the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services, comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for the contributions of the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services who have devoted and sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. At the same time, he hoped that the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution would continue to live healthy lives, overcome the pain of their injuries, rest assured in their care, uphold the example of courage, the will and bravery of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and continue to build their families and homelands to become more and more prosperous.

Receiving the gifts from the Vietnam Journalists Association, Mr. Pham Thanh Tru - Director of Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center said that Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center is currently taking care of 57 people, including 56 people who have contributed to the revolution and 1 person who is a relative of a person who has contributed to the revolution.
Among the 56 wounded and sick soldiers, 30 are entitled to the regime for resistance fighters infected with Agent Orange/dioxin; 3 are entitled to the regime for those who were imprisoned and 2 are entitled to the regime according to Decision 142/QD-CP.

Expressing his gratitude to the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Mr. Pham Thanh Tru shared that the war has ended, the country is constantly developing, but there is still the ultimate pain of the soldiers who sacrificed their blood and bones, the mothers who waited for their husbands to return from the war. We will never forget the sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers.
“The staff and civil servants promise to continue to do a good job of management, treatment, and care so that this place can become a second home for the seriously wounded soldiers, mothers, and relatives of martyrs,” said Mr. Pham Thanh Tru.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Journalists Association, TH Group, Vietnamese Stature Fund, Sao Vang Group Joint Stock Company (Savabeco), the Youth Union of the National Television Channel in the Central and Central Highlands regions (VTV8) and the Love Porridge Volunteer Team also presented 57 gifts of cash and gifts to the wounded soldiers being treated at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center; presented 15 scholarships, each worth 1,000,000 VND and gifts to poor students who have overcome difficulties in Nghe An province.
