General Secretary and President To Lam successfully concludes visit to China

The State visit to China is the first foreign trip of General Secretary and President To Lam in his new position; it is a particularly important foreign activity between Vietnam and China this year, having a great impact on the development trend of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries in the long term to come.

During the visit, General Secretary and President To Lam held high-level talks with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping; met with Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang; met with member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Huning; met with member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji.

Also during the visit, General Secretary and President To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of 14 documents between central and local ministries, branches and sectors of the two countries.
