"I'm trying to have another debate. We'll see," Vice President Harris told about 600 people at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 20.

Ms. Harris and Mr. Trump debated each other for the first time on September 10.

The US presidential election is in full swing, with just over 40 days to go until voting. Vice President Harris and her opponent, former President Donald Trump, are in a tight race.

On September 15 (local time), ABC News, the host of the above debate, announced the results of a survey of American voters about the debate.

Accordingly, 58% of respondents said Ms. Harris won the debate, while only 36% chose Mr. Trump.

Among Democratic voters, 95% said Harris won. In contrast, only 75% of Republican voters said Trump was the better debater.

Ms. Harris continued to win big when 37% of survey participants admitted to having a more positive view of her because of the debate, while 23% affirmed that they lost sympathy for the Democratic candidate.

Meanwhile, a recent New York Times/Siena poll shows that although Ms. Harris is ahead in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, the two candidates appear to be "evenly matched" nationally.

Both candidates are actively seeking union support. In a setback for Harris, the Teamsters union on September 18 turned its back on a Democratic presidential candidate for the first time in 25 years.

However, several local Teamsters chapters, representing 1 million members, said they still supported the vice president's campaign.
