On the morning of July 5, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Tourism Association held a conference to implement Resolution 82/NQ-CP dated May 18, 2023 of the Government.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet: “Resolution 82/NQ-CP on key tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development is an important step in implementing Resolution 08-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, demonstrating the deep concern of Party and State leaders for the tourism industry, the proactiveness, drastic and responsible actions of ministries, branches and localities as well as the efforts, endeavors and high determination in accompanying the tourism industry to overcome difficulties of the business community operating in the tourism sector and all people nationwide”.

Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said: “The Vietnam Tourism Association is deeply aware that this is a great opportunity for the tourism industry and also a heavy responsibility for tourism businesses nationwide. With that spirit, the Vietnam Tourism Association has developed and issued an Action Plan to implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP on key tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective and sustainable tourism development. This activity demonstrates the unity of thinking and action of the tourism business community that are members of the Vietnam Tourism Association, and the commitment of the Vietnam tourism business community in implementing the policies of the Party, Government and National Assembly on tourism development.”
The action plan sets out specific goals and implementation with 8 key tasks including: Restructuring enterprises, innovating business models; Developing tourism products suitable for the new stage; Diversifying tourism markets; Promoting tourism promotion activities; Developing human resources to meet the requirements of the new development stage; Strengthening linkages in tourism business; Promoting digital transformation in tourism businesses; Detecting, synthesizing opinions and proposing to competent state agencies to resolve difficulties and problems of tourism businesses.
