Saving more than 64 billion VND thanks to the spending contract mechanism and autonomy

The report of the Provincial People's Committee on the results of practicing thrift and fighting waste in the management and use of state budget funds in 2024 said that from saving on administrative management expenses, implementing national target programs, scientific research, technology, education and training, health care..., agencies and units have saved nearly 44 billion VND.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, saving has created conditions for agencies and units to proactively allocate resources in spending to successfully complete assigned tasks; at the same time, spending additional income for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to improve their lives.

In 2024, implement savings in regular expenditure estimates according to the direction and administration of the Government, including saving 10% of regular expenditures to create a source for salary reform for budget units under the provincial budget and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities of more than 375.1 billion VND; continue to save 5% of regular expenditure estimates in 2024 for budget units under the provincial budget and People's Committees at the district level of nearly 91 billion VND.

Besides, during the budget appraisal process, Quang Nam cut down on contents that were wrongly established in terms of policies, objects, standards, and norms by nearly 10 billion VND.
